CAN MORERA

Like an homage to the rugged coast of Mallorca, Can Morera blends into the Mediterranean landscape; a generous holiday home of simple beauty, designed by the architect Alberto Lievore.

On the southeast coast of the Spanish island is the small port town of Porto Petro, lined with rocky coasts, fine white sand beaches, and turquoise waters. The five-hectare estate of Can Morera is directly by the sea on a quiet promontory with a view of the picturesque scenery of the historic harbor. Two cuboids composed of monumental stones form the main and guest houses, where guests find expansive space and stylish retreat.

Except for the chairs in the dining room, the entire interior and lighting design was conceived by Alberto Lievore.

The main house contains a spacious living and dining area with a passage to the kitchen and an attached pantry, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a study with a large single bed, and at the rear part of the main house, a single room for domestic help or a nanny with its own bathroom. Next to it is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, followed by the garage.

The guest house has three more double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living and dining area with its own kitchen. All rooms have access to the surrounding terrace.

An olive tree forms the center between the two buildings. Around it, five mulberry trees provide shade. The green-enclosed seating area invites you to grill and dine together in the open air with an outdoor kitchen. Besides its own access to the sea, there is also a 25 m long heated pool that extends parallel to the coast. Comfortable lounges make sunbathing a pleasure. Everywhere there are places in the sun or, if desired, in the shade – with a fantastic view over the sea and into the sunset at Porto Petro.

The main and guest houses are heated with underfloor heating and are additionally air-conditioned.
